BEUS POCUS Level-1 sign-off
Information
The finishing school is a one-day evaluation. It has 3 main parts:
1. Theoretical exam
This is a multiple choice question exam based on the book: ‘Manual of Emergency and Critical Care Ultrasound, second edition’ by Vicky Noble. Specifically the chapters: Fundamentals, FAST, Cardiac Ultrasound, Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound, Ultrasound in Shock, Vascular Access.
It also comprises image recognition of pathological and non-pathological cases.
2. Practical exam
Ultrasound skills on healthy models (eFAST, AAA, cardio/RUSH, vascular access). All stations will be examined twice.
3. Logbook review
Logbook check with examiner, with focus on pathological cases. Supervised normal cases will not be reviewed during the exam.

For participants who have already paid registration fees for the courses listed below, the examination fee (administrative cost) has already been paid by the course organisers. Please select the free registration in that case. If your participation is not confirmed by the concerned course organiser, you will still be asked to pay the normal administrative fee.
